  • There are some abbreviations in the Internet that have become very common. This shouldn’t be any surprise to anyone who has seen them in their email or sent a text message to someone for example. Just about everyone who was on the Internet decades ago will remember what it was like when domains were harder to come by, but that was back in the late 90s and early 2000s before the Web exploded. The following is all about abbreviated domains and what they mean. However, these are not the only common abbreviations that you might see in various online contexts. There are many others, so be sure to check them out if you are not familiar with these.

Low-quality domains usually go for a few thousand dollars. Highly quality domains that are two words can easily go for $10,000 to $50,000. I have been in discussions about purchasing domains for a little over a hundred thousand dollars and the really hot ones can reach seven figures.
